Sue Hutchins Routson

Sue has been a NAPP member since 1992 and has chaired the NAPP Award Committee since 2003. She was founding State President of the Indiana Peer Programs Association in 2002.

Since 1974, Sue has trained 500+ adults to deliver youth programs, which build self-esteem, leadership, positive self-concept, and sound decision-making. In 1986, Sue created and serves as Executive Director of the Peer Information Center for Teens, Inc. 619 PICT Peer Helpers have given more than 97,500 hours of service, serving 6,000+ same age and younger peers each year. Awards include Indiana Exemplary Youth Organization; Lilly Organizational Renewal Program; President's Volunteer Action Group; Governor's Volunteer Action Group; Youth Service America Healthy Living and Prevention Award; NAPP 2002 Peer Program of the Year; and first NAPP Certified Peer Program in 2002.

Sue's personal awards include Girl Scout Thanks Badge; United Way Community Leader of the Year; Indiana Youth Institute Leadership Associate; 2002 Altrusa Woman of the Year; and 2005 Journey Fellow.
